‘Inequality, Poverty and Development: Why are some countries poorer than others?’
Why are some counters seemingly more ’successful’ than others? We would like to think it has all to do with culture or national characteristics but this is too simple an explanation. In this brief lecture we will look at some of the possible explanations emerging from Institutionalism, i.e. the legacy of history, previous government structures and, yes, cultural characteristics too.
We look forward to welcoming current Year 12 and Year 13 who are interested in studying Politics & International Relations.
