Your London Life
New College of the Humanities is located in Bloomsbury in central London – the academic heart of the capital. Your campus is surrounded by small and large art, cultural, academic and research institutions. Access is right on your doorstep to ensure you flourish in your studies.
London is one of the most exciting and vibrant cities in the world, packed full of museums, theatres, world-class restaurants, as well as music and comedy venues. Whether you want to visit a world famous gallery, enjoy your favourite band perform or photograph iconic landmarks, there is always something to do.
For some students the thought of studying in such a vast city as London may be daunting. However, at New College of the Humanities you will enjoy the best of both worlds with a warm, supportive and friendly community in a collegiate environment from which to launch yourself confidently into London life.
Your New College of the Humanities experience is about much more than studying. We encourage you to share your interests with your fellow students and to explore and enjoy the opportunities that you may not have had before. Being a student at NCH, with associate membership of Student Central, and living in London, your options truly are endless.
Outside Your Studies
NCH students do much more than work hard. The College provides a smaller, more welcoming and supportive environment than most universities, and we have an eclectic range of active clubs, societies and social events.
The social scene at NCH is ably supported by the New College of the Humanities Student Union (NCHSU), the representative body for students at NCH. Nights organised by the NCHSU range from spoken word slams to theatrical productions and guest speakers, and are complemented by regular bar evenings.
The College also hosts annual Matriculation, Christmas and Summer Balls with vibrant and exciting themes.
A Community of 120,000 London-based Students
As an NCH student you will also have plenty of opportunities to access an endless range of clubs, societies and social events through Student Central, which organises sport and activities across the entire 120,000-strong University of London student community.
As a student at NCH you can become an associate member of Student Central for £20 a year. Your associate membership will give you access to:
