Student Life Coordinator
Hi, my name is Carlos and I’m originally from Newcastle Upon Tyne, all the way from the North of England. “Yah, reet like” as we Geordie’s say. I graduated from the University of Essex with a degree in Science. After graduating I lived and worked in the U.S. for 4 years. I have spent my career working in education and student development programmes.
As Student Life Coordinator I’m really looking forward to welcoming all the freshmen Nu.In students to London. I will be planning and organising all your excursions. I will be putting my knowledge, having been on both sides of ‘the pond’ into the student programme and will give you an unforgettable ‘British experience’.
Student Life Coordinator / Mental Health First Aider (MHFA England)
Welcome! My name is Seán and I am a Student Life Coordinator with the College. Before starting my role here I worked as an Assistant Language Teacher on the JET Program UK, teaching English nestled in the beautiful mountains of Nagano, Japan.
My key responsibility is the planning and roll out of engaging and fun events in both London and around the U.K. This includes (and not limited to): visits to large and small museums; diverse food and folk markets; old and new art galleries; historic stone churches complete with stories of Sunday morning punch-ups; high walled castles; and climbing volcanoes (extinct ones!) with beautiful sunset vistas. This is just in class. Outside of class students have attended a fancy dress Tudor feast, cooking classes and a Silent Disco Dance off onboard a British ship on the Thames.
My passion in this role is to continually learn as well as share my love of the U.K. with all international students who choose London to complete their studies; and to watch those students become natural Londoners themselves.
Residence Life Manager
Matthew has been working with international students for the last seven years working with over fifty organisations and universities and over four thousand students. Matthew has a real passion for helping students stay engaged and connected whilst they undertake the sometimes dizzying array of experiences students can experience whilst abroad; recognising that for some students this can be an incredibly tumultuous time period. His main goal is for students to always feel supported and able to achieve their individual goals. A keen historian Matthew has an MA in Eighteenth Century Studies from an interdisciplinary program part run by the British Museum and can often be found cycling around admiring all the sights of London!
