Sit Down With… Joe (MA Phil)
Sit down with… Joe, Philosophy MA student.
Joe chose the Philosophy Master’s at NCH despite not having taken his undergraduate in Philosophy. With a background in agriculture, Joe has found his niche in environmental ethics, which the Philosophy MA allows him to focus closely on. With four out of six taught modules being chosen from a range of options, the Philosophy MA allows you to specialise in one aspect of Philosophy or gain an insight into the bigger picture of the discipline.
In addition to the curriculum, the teaching style of the Philosophy MA follows a similar structure to all of our degrees: predominantly through seminars of 5-15 students and individual tutorials. With the small class sizes at NCH, you will soon get to know your peers and tutors, as well as the wider College body. However, if you’re looking to be part of something bigger, the area of Bloomsbury and Central London more widely offers unlimited cultural, social and academic things to do and see.
