Artificial Intelligence with a Human Face

Join us this March to participate in the development of an innovative new masters degree with the working title MSc Artificial Intelligence with a Human Face, which is currently being devised at NCH, in collaboration with the University Centre Shrewsbury.

We are hosting two free evening workshops, designed for those wishing to acquire skills and pursue a career in the rapidly advancing area of Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and the Ethics of Technology.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn about data science and AI, and to discuss the ethics of emerging technologies, and career goals and prospects, as well as the practicalities of returning to study.

These events are open to all and require no background in AI or Data Science. Women and those from ethnic minority backgrounds are especially encouraged to attend.

Please register below, attendance at both events is encouraged, though not compulsory.

Monday 2nd March 2020 from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm. The workshop will take place at NCH, 19 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3HH. The nearest Tube station is Tottenham Court Road.

-Ms Mital Kinderkhedia, Visiting Fellow in AI and Machine Learning

 

About the MSc Artificial Intelligence with a Human Face

The proposed MSc will be tailored to graduates with no prior background in these subjects and is intended for those with little or no coding experience, and will:

  • teach key programming and AI/machine learning techniques
  • enhance crucial human-oriented skills (e.g. in clear and effective communication) and knowledge (e.g. of AI and data ethics)
  • provide an opportunity to undertake an extended (dissertation) project surrounding a work-placement involving these newly acquired skills.
