Student volunteering and fundraising at NCH
Students at New College of the Humanities volunteer for a number of different charities and organisations, within the local community of Bloomsbury and further afield.
One of NCH’s longest-running charity partnerships is with children’s education charity IntoUniversity. Many students volunteer as mentors for school pupils from underprivileged backgrounds. As mentors, the students work to improve their mentee’s aspirations about higher education. Students also host regular ‘buddy days’ within New College of the Humanities. These involve school pupils visiting the College for the day and experience a small taste of what university life has to offer.
Many of our students volunteer at the College’s local Oxfam branch. This work includes organising the stock, serving customers and working on the till.
