Northeastern University – London is inviting competition presentation entries from students who are currently in their penultimate year of secondary education (equivalent to Year 12 in the English education system) and their last year of secondary education (equivalent to Year 13 in the English education system)

The Digital Futures competition engages students to explore how data science and computer science can be incorporated within humanities and social sciences, we look forward to receiving entries from talented and intellectually curious students who show passion and academic potential in the data science and computer science.

We welcome entries from students located anywhere in the world.

How to enter

1. Register for the competition below – After registering you will be emailed detailed instructions.

2. Create your presentation, remember to read our guidelines below.

3. Submit your presentation via our online form (URL will be emailed to you after you register) by 1pm GMT Monday 12 December 2022.

Presentation Guidelines

  • Presentation can be created in Powerpoint or a suitable alternative but must be saved and submitted as a PDF.
  • Presentation must not exceed 5 slides (not including your title page)
  • Please ensure your last slide includes a conclusion.
  • You can use images in your presentation if you feel this will help.
  • If you are using referenced materials (including images) please do reference these in your presentation.
  • There is no minimum/maximum word count.

Who can enter?

The Digital Futures Competition is open to students who are currently in their penultimate (second to last) year of secondary education (Year 12 in England) and those who are in their last year of secondary education (Year 13 in England) and are interested in studying data science and/or computer science at university. This is a global competition, so we encourage entries from those studying anywhere in the world. Find full competition rules here.
