Welcome to New College of the Humanities in London, part of the Northeastern University global network.

Your home away from home
Moving to a new country half-way around the world may seem daunting, but at NCH we are small by design, with around 250 students and 30 faculty. With all of our students, faculty and support staff in the same building, you will be sure to get to know everyone!
NCH is a truly international and cosmopolitan community of students. Around 40% of our students come from outside the UK, representing more than 40 countries. We welcome applications from students irrespective of their background.
Our International Student Hub has lots of information on your application and move to London, including our fees, your visa application and healthcare provisions.
In 2018 NCH entered into a close global partnership with Northeastern, becoming part of the Northeastern family. The partnership allows for new opportunities for both NCH and NU students, with study-abroad opportunities, research collaboration and alumni scholarships for postgraduate programmes.
President Aoun wrote in 2018: “Known for its rigorous one-to-one tutorial method, NCH is a leader in humanities education. Combined with Northeastern’s preeminence in experiential learning—and our comprehensive portfolio of academic disciplines—we will create unmatched opportunities for learners on both sides of the Atlantic, and around the world.”
Our liberal arts-inspired major/minor degree combinations offer students a choice of combined honours degree programmes. Select one major course from Art History, Economics, English, History, Law, Philosophy, or Politics & IR. These subjects are all available for selection as a second, complementary ‘minor’ subject, as well as a Creative Writing minor. A single honours Law LLB, Philosophy, Politics & Economics BA (PPE) and Philosophy, Politics & History BA (PPH) are also available.
All undergraduate students at NCH combine their degree studies with the College’s enriching diploma. Comprising eight courses in Applied Ethics, Critical Reasoning, Science Literacy and the unique LAUNCH professional development programme, the Diploma equips students with an intelligent understanding of the core concepts, arguments and theories that underpin the study of the humanities, and enables them to approach their degree studies in a rounded and enlightened way.
The LAUNCH programme introduces vital professional skills, attitudes and behaviours, identified by the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) to be valuable to employers across a range of professions. To ensure that every student who is prepared to work hard will achieve their full potential and leave fully equipped to face the challenges of our increasingly complex world.
