Teaching Theory of Knowledge
Monday 6th November
New College of the Humanities, Drawing Room
About the Day
Theory of knowledge (TOK) plays a special role in the IB Diploma Programme by providing an opportunity for students to reflect on the nature of knowledge, and on how we know what we claim to know. It is a challenging course to facilitate so we are offering the opportunity to consider the nature of knowledge, how best to encourage the critical approach and to hear from an examiner and academics about how to approach the teaching.
As an institution that strongly supports the IB, New College of the Humanities would like to share approaches to the study of the Theory of Knowledge. This will be our third annual TOK Day — previous attendees have found the TOK Days add extra insights into their teaching of TOK.
