English Taster Lecture (Closed - this event has now passed)

‘Unreliable Narrators’

What are they? How can we know when we are encountering one? And what do we do when we know that we are? Can we trust a word they say – or just some of their words? In dealing with these questions, in relation to a range of nineteenth and twentieth century literature, Dr Brown will open up questions of interpretation, trust, and fictionality – some of the largest questions in literature itself.

We look forward to welcoming current Year 12 and Year 13 who are interested in studying English.

If you are a school teacher and would like to bring a bigger group, then please email us on for group bookings.
