Economics Taster Lecture (Closed - this event has now passed)
‘Social behaviour and Economics: A story of ants, lions, and monkeys’
Since the 2008 crisis, the assumptions and models used in heterodox economic theory have been challenged and debated in the public media while the viability of economic predictions has been put into question. In this lecture, I discuss some of the challenges which economists face and address as part of their research in behavioural economics by focusing on the social components that drive economic systems.
We look forward to welcoming current Year 12 and Year 13 who are interested in studying Economics.
