This degree programme enables you to study Art History and Philosophy for your combined honours degree. The study of Art History gives you the opportunity to see and interpret moments in history through their architecture and material culture. The central aim of the Philosophy minor is to bring clarity and rigour to your thinking and to advance your understanding of, and ability to engage with, fundamental philosophical questions, arguments, theories and texts. You will typically experience an average of 9.5 or more hours of high-quality contact time in each teaching week, in considerably smaller groups than are the norm for UK institutions at the undergraduate level, if you choose to study Art History as your major subject.
