Corporate Finance Course Description

Summary

The purpose of this course is to develop the financial skills and logical thought processes necessary to understand and discuss financial policy decisions in a global economy, and to provide the conceptual foundations for making intelligent financial decisions by developing an understanding of modern corporate financial theory and practice.

English for Business

This course is designed to enable you to develop and hone your proficiencies in business English across a range of contexts and situations. Indicative topics include general organisation vocabulary; methods of business communication; the vocabulary of production, management, and leadership; and the language of careers and job searches.

Global Culture and Communication

This course immerses you in the location in which you are studying and provides you with the wider knowledge and skills to communicate effectively in global professional environments. It explores cultural norms and expectations and trains you in the educated expression of opinions and arguments. Indicative topics include culture and interpersonal relations; language and society; professional and intercultural communication; and global public relations.

Quantitative Techniques for Graduate Study

The purpose of this course is to enable students to refresh and develop skills in quantitative analysis across both mathematics and statistics. The course is designed to serve students with previous background in mathematics and statistics, to provide opportunities to regain a routine for quantitative analysis, and to support students in progressing to graduate-level courses requiring a range of mathematical and statistical techniques.
