In this lecture we will explore the ingenious ways in which reproduction happens in the natural world by considering biological innovations across the animal kingdom. We will also discuss intriguing ambiguous cases from medical literature, as well as how the long history of societal and religious beliefs, and gender-norms around reproduction stack up against what we now understand about our biology and genetics.
