Registry

Registry facilitate all academic and student services. We are responsible for the student experience from registration and enrolment to graduation, including student finance, Canvas (VLE), and assessments, among other things. The Student Support & Development Team is part of SAS but it has its own section so that our wellbeing provision can be viewed more easily.

Bex Morrison MSc BSc SFHEA

Registrar, Director Academic Services

Bex has oversight and leadership of all academic services, including Registry, Quality, Student Support and Development, and Global Experience. She is responsible for enhancement initiatives across all aspects of the student journey; collaborating with students, faculty and professional staff at a strategic and operational level. She is the key connector between NCH at Northeastern and Northeastern University, ensuring operational effectiveness and efficiency for the planning and delivery of student mobility programmes and the integration of the two providers. She is also responsible for ensuring compliance with the OfS, HESA, QAA, OIA and any other external stakeholder, while collaborating with the Regulatory Affairs team in Northeastern. She is a member of the Senior Management Team; Academic Board; Policy and Compliance Committee; Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Group; and Resource Allocation Group.

Bex completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in osteopathic healthcare at the University College of Osteopathy. Before joining NCH, she was senior management at other private higher education providers, responsible for quality assurance, student engagement, learning and teaching and taught at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the UK and Europe. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and previously has been a reviewer for the QAA.

Rebecca Harrison MSc (Texas A&M University)

Academic Registrar, Assistant Director Academic Services

Rebecca is responsible for administering and supervising the operation of the student wellbeing offering at NCH, ensuring an environment conducive to social and intellectual growth, as well as the academic success of students.

Rebecca, a native of Texas, has worked in the field of student support and student administration in various capacities at universities in the USA, Egypt, and the UK over a period of 25+ years. In addition to a BA History and MSc Adult Education, Rebecca is also a Master Practitioner of Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) based coaching and a certified mediator.

Jonathan Dempsey

Jonathan Dempsey

Assistant Registrar (Student Records)

Jonathan manages the student information system ensuring our student data are correct and up to date as well as producing reports as part of regulatory returns to the Office for Students (OfS) and the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA). Alongside this he also manages student registration and enrolment as well as student loan administration.

Jonathan comes from a varied background in higher education having worked over the past 15 years across IT development, volunteer management, residence life, student wellbeing, and student and academic administration management. During his career he has gained a Masters in Higher Education Research and Practice from Kingston University, trained as a mediator with Regent’s University London, is a mental health first aider, a Humanist pastoral advisor, and has studied British and American Sign Language at home and abroad (although these skills are a little rusty).

Jonathan is currently studying a professional doctorate in Higher Education Management at the University of Bath’s School of Management where he is focussing on student success, social justice, and sustainability as part of his research with the aim to complete his studies by 2024.

Tanya McLarney

Tanya McLarney

Registry Assistant 

Tanya joined NCH at their new campus as a receptionist supporting the security team, and now assists Registry with assessments.

Tanya studied at Camberwell College of Arts, and worked as a video editor and motion graphics artist in DVD authoring where she was responsible for quality assurance, and designed menu navigation systems. She was also a graphic designer for a music publisher, creating cover artwork for CD and digital download. As proposals manager for an environmental consultancy, she guided housing developers through the fee quotation process for planning and assessment services, and was responsible for marketing. She has also worked backstage at a stand-up comedy club.
