Everyone needs a break from time to time, and the best way to spend your time between classes and tutorials is to indulge in the perfect cup of coffee (and maybe a nice little snack alongside). If you were wondering where the best coffee places around NCH are, my list might help you!
Espresso Room, 31-35 Great Ormond St, Holborn- Espresso Room is located very close to Russell Square and is probably one of the tiniest coffee shops you will ever see. The choice of food and drink is very limited, they just offer espresso-based coffees (sorry for all tea lovers), a soup of the day, some sandwiches and a few baked goods, but it is still worth trying. Sitting places are only available outdoors, which is especially nice in the coming summer months, as now the good weather is finallycoming to London!
Attendant, 27A Foley St, Fitzrovia- Attendant opened its doors in 2013, just a 1-minute walk away from the Goodge Street underground station. What you might not expect about this coffee shop is, that it is located in a place that used to be a late-nineteenth-century gents’ toilet. The coffee at Attendant is really worth trying, especially as the beans are house-roasted. If a cup of amazing coffee is not enough to get you going, you might also consider ordering a made-to-order sandwich of the day (cold or hot), one of their delicious salads or a nice piece of cake. But be warned: The place is very small and very crowdy during lunchtime!
JOLT, 40-41 Great Castle St, Fitzrovia- This coffee shop is rather on the fancier side of coffee shops (the prices are a little higher as well), but why not treat yourself after a hard day at University. Once again, the coffee here is amazing (you should try their speciality the Pistachio latte). As for the food you should not miss out on their cheese toastie. If you had a hard day at University and this toastie is the ultimate comfort food and will instantly lighten up your mood.
