New College of the Humanities (NCH) and international, peer-reviewed, academic journal International Social Science Journal (ISSJ) announced today that they will be entering into a partnership which will see NCH host ISSJ’s London-based conferences and become the journal’s official academic home institution.
In this capacity, NCH will aim to host at least one conference with ISSJ annually at its London location in Bloomsbury. As part of the partnership, Professor A C Grayling, Master of NCH, joins the ISSJ as an advisory board member.
ISSJ Editor-in-Chief Dr. Sebastian Ille, who is a Lecturer in Economics at NCH said: “Since its foundation by UNESCO in 1949, ISSJ has always taken a strongly interdisciplinary approach, serving as a forum for review, reflection and discussion for a diverse community of social scientists. Making NCH the academic and geographic home of ISSJ is a perfect fit, given NCH’s focus on the Humanities, and the Social Sciences in particular.”
Professor A C Grayling said: “There is perhaps no time in history when reflective discussion in the Social Sciences was more pertinent than now. In these challenging times, we need to maintain dialogue and informed debate across borders, and NCH and ISSJ are ideal partners for this.”
