We are delighted to announce that New College of the Humanities has won best ‘Course & Lecturers’ at the Whatuni Student Choice Awards. We also came 4th overall for ‘University of the Year’. The awards were presented last night at a high-profile ceremony in London.
NCH triumphed over more than 100 universities and undergraduate level institutions from across the whole of the country to win the Course & Lecturers title, including Russell Group universities and institutions that have been established for many more years than us. This award gives NCH public recognition for the outstanding quality of our teaching and curriculum. It is a huge accolade for the College, as we continue to establish ourselves and in the lead-up to our first graduation this September.
The Whatuni Student Choice Awards are unique because the winners are voted for by students. Unlike other university league tables, the rankings are based entirely on the experiences of students themselves, who rate each institution across a range of categories, including Accommodation, City Life, Clubs & Societies, Course & Lecturers, Job Prospects, Student Union, Uni Facilities and Support Services. The ratings are a highly valuable resource for prospective undergraduates who value the honest opinions of their peers.
We could not have won best Course & Lecturers, or have been ranked so highly for University of the Year, without our students’ fantastic support and enthusiasm for what we do here. We also also indebted to our world-class academic staff, whose devotion to providing the best learning experience for NCH students is clearly recognised by those they teach.
The full list of winners can be found on the Whatuni website. Visit the NCH Twitter feed to see action from the awards ceremony last night, including a picture of Professor Grayling with host Hugh Dennis!
